Special session with the participation of actress Leonor Cabral

A rarity in the history of Portuguese cinema, preserved in the RTP Archives. Made as part of a European initiative in which various public channels from different countries challenged filmmakers to make a short film about childhood and freedom. Monique Rutler responded with this amusing and provocative film, in which a farce (played by actresses Raquel Maria and Maria Vieira – the latter in her first role as an actress) is combined with street reporting.

Special session FILMSCHOOL & Festival PLAY: Film shorts

This screening, dedicated to future programmers and cultural mediators and those who like to travel with their eyes and build bridges between films, is part of the FILMSCHOOL film literacy programme developed by the Portuguese Cinematheque. The session will link contemporary short films from PLAY festival with short films from the Cinemateca archive. 

FILMSCHOOL is a bilateral cooperation project, in partnership with the Norsk Film Institut, through Cinemateket Oslo, operationalised under the EEAGrants funding mechanism.
